The Founder and CEO of Ser Integral – Portuguese Center for Mindfulness, guided by a vision of human development that integrates clinical psychology, mindfulness, and trauma-informed approaches, in service of deep transformation and the reconnection with our humanity and authenticity.
She is a Clinical and Health Psychologist with specialisation in Clinical Neuropsychology, holding a degree in Psychology from the University of Glamorgan and a Master’s in Neuropsychology from the University of Kent (UK), and a PhD in Transpersonal Psychology from Sofia University (USA). She worked as a clinical researcher at the University of Oxford on the OPTIMA project, focused on ageing and cognitive dementia.
A pioneer in bringing Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) to Portugal, she is the first certified MBSR teacher in the country (2007). Since then, she has developed extensive clinical, training, and supervision work in mindfulness-based programs, including MBCT, MBCT-L, MBRP, and interventions for children and adolescents.
In recent years, she has deepened her training in trauma and nervous system regulation, integrating approaches such as Somatic Experiencing, Polyvagal Theory, and Internal Family Systems (IFS), combining a strong scientific foundation with an integrative clinical approach oriented toward deep transformation and well-being
She is the author of Mindfulness-Based Interventions for Older Adults: Evidence for Practice (2014) and Mergulhar no Ser e Não Ser (2023).
